I saw this crowned jellyfish on a recent swim and was taken by how bright it looked as it pulsed along.

How amazing that it looks like it is lit up. It is very beautiful.

My marine invertebrates book entry for this jellyfish includes, ‘the author has handled it with no ill effects.’

Beautiful, I didn’t know this lovely creature existed. (She probably never heard of me, either. 🙂

I wouldn’t doubt the jellyfish registered my presence, but probably didn’t think I was beautiful!

interesting, at least…the jellyfish may have had a little camera to snap your pic and share it with her cohorts. “Hey, check out this creature I found swimming around out there.”

I’d like to think that’s true. Sometimes I see things in the water giving me a look that suggests they’re thinking, ‘How can anything that clumsy survive in the water?’

Animals do check out us humans. Just think how amusing a sight we would be to an animal that never saw a person before..all of our appendages and funny features. 🙂

I know they do. History would suggest it’s safer for them to be more afraid than amused by us.

It’s a handsome creature in the water but they scare me when they land on the beach. That’s a great shot though, Graham 🙂 🙂

I don’t think these sting much, if at all, but I try not to get too close anyway.
