I liked the colors and shapes of the lichens and moss on the rocky face of a road cutting outside Hawi.

I’m a big fan of lichen. I really like the patterns, colours and textures formed over who knows how many years. And finding it in the outback desert, where there were once inland oceans, that’s special.
