Yesterday I posted a small town response to this week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme of ‘Urban.’ See more responses here. It wasn’t until after that post went live that it occurred to me I could have used photos from my jaunt to Honolulu a few years back. It’s not the Big Island, but in Hawaii, Honolulu is by far the largest urban area.

When I got home, I had a look to see what photos I could use and came up with these images. The entire population of Hawi could fit comfortably into one of those skyscrapers.

    Great shots of urban beauty. I gotta agree, while Honolulu (well parts of it) are beautiful and I very much enjoyed my trips there, it’s not somewhere I have a desire to revisit anytime soon, too many more places left to see. 🙂

      Thanks. I agree it’s not top of my list of places to visit, but if I have to go there for some reason – most likely official or medical – then I like to incorporate a little sightseeing if I can!

    Beautiful shots of Honolulu, Graham! who needs street art when the city’s architecture is so wonderfully captured by you, not to mention the natural beauty surrounding it steps away. Amazing the town of Hawi could fit in one building! I shared both on my post.
