A Bluestripe Butterflyfish nibbles algea in the waters off Hawaii

The distinctive Bluestripe Butterflyfish, which is endemic to Hawaii, is unusual in that it has no eye camouflage. This one was nibbling on algae on part of an old pier.

      Thanks,Karen. It does have lovely markings, especially when it catches the sun. I had another photo I was going to use, but yesterday morning I took this one and liked it better.
