A wandering tattler and its shadow

A wandering tattler casts a shadow.

I just wanted to say that I like this photo because the bird’s shadow reminds me of the evil penguin (Feathers McGraw) in the Wallace and Grommet movie, The Wrong Trousers. That is all.

Loving our stay in Hilo already! We get serenaded by the Coqui frogs all night. Have you ever captured a photo of those teeny frogs? Or maybe a post? I recorded them “whistling” last night while it softly rained. I read an article about the frogs and what a nuisance they have become, and I suppose it is a preference whether people enjoy or hate the little buggers. 🙂

I love Hilo. It has something of the old Hawaii feel to it. I live up in North Kohala and the coquis aren’t established here – yet. They are present though – lately, I’ve been hearing one some distance away. I haven’t seen one yet though, so no photo. Enjoy your visit. I hope the weather cooperates.
