I was taken by these real estate ads and their neon glow that gave the display a precise, but otherworldly look.

    I get the impression that people are adding neon or LED lights to random things these days. I forget what I saw with a bunch of LED lights on recently but remember thinking how ridiculous it was.

      I know what you mean. I guess with these, the idea was that they could be read at any time, day or night. And in the past they’d probably have left a light on above the window to illuminate them, so perhaps this is better.
