Recently, I’ve been taking photos of shoals of little fish I see when I get in the water. I thought I’d try shooting them from underneath and, while this hasn’t resulted in decent fish photos, I rather like the look of the water that’s shown up in some of the photos. This one has the added bonus that even the fish can be seen, too.

Excellent photo shoot.

I love taking water reflections as abstracts too Graham 🙂

This isn’t really reflections, though reflections are interesting too. It’s just the weird effect water has on images and light. I’ve posted a few before, but this is the first time I’ve taken photos in this way and I liked the results.

Sometimes it is reflections. Mt pelican one a while ago was a weird reflection on moving water

Water of any kind seems to add something to a photo. Mind you, I’ve also deleted a lot of those photos!

I think so too. I don’t know why I didn’t try this before, but the effects are quite varied. I’ll probably post a few more over time.

That’s pretty cool! I thought it was an abstract painting at first, lol. Lots of fish!

It does look like a painting, which is what I really liked about it. I’ll probably post something about the actual fish later this week.

Thanks. I have of course taken way too many of these, but I’ll probably put a few of them up from time to time. The results are very varied.
