During some recent swims, I’ve been lucky enough to see this small Spotted Eagle Ray. It doesn’t tend to hang about, so the encounters have been fleeting, but the ray looks in great condition, which is always good to see.

Marvellous capture, Graham. I see the rays regularly at my beach. Such serene creatures unless to encounter that rogue individual.

Haven’t run into any rogue rays yet! I try not to bother most things in the water and then they don’t bother me.

That’s a great shot of the wing. I’m a bit surprised by the size of its head, too, making it a real head, rather than two eyes in its body.

It’s a bit of a strange looking creature.
