Beautiful plumage

A free range chicken in Kamuela, Hawaii

It’s not a Norwegian Blue Parrot, but I thought this hen’s feathers were quite lovely. This also marks eight years of daily posts on this blog! This could explain the hen’s expression!

It wasn’t a cooperative hen or I’d have posted a close up of those colors, which I liked a lot. For me, I think the daily schedule helps. If I did occasional posts, I think I might dribble away and disappear!

Congratulations, Graham. I find myself wavering between stopping and continuing at least twice a year and I’ve not been blogging that long. Or have I? I might check.
We’ll done, anyway. Your posts are just right.

Thanks for the kind words Karen. I too ponder changes to my blog, especially lately as I don’t have as much time for photography, but I’m a creature of habit so I’ll probably keep going!

Thanks for those kind words. Sometimes I wonder what I’m going to post, but I know a beach scene with blue water and warm sun will always be welcomed by you!

One thing I like about posting every day is that it keeps me on the lookout for subjects, so I’m more alert to what’s going on around me than I might otherwise be.

Sometimes I wonder what the heck I’m going to post, especially as I don’t currently have the time to take a lot of photos. But I have an enormous number of unused photos in my archives so things generally come together fairly well. I usually spend part of a day figuring out posts for the week ahead and that makes life much easier.
