
The fruit and leaves of the Autograph Tree (Clusia rosea) are toxic to humans and animals. When the fruit is ripe, it opens to reveal red seeds, which are dispersed by birds, animals and the weather. This is a spent fruit after that process is finished.

Fabulous and a stunning colours. I am yet to find a seven similar, every thing is in even numbers

I found another one in the sunlight and photographed that, thinking it would make a better photo. When I looked at it at home, I realized it had eight segments! Don’t know which, if either, is the norm.

Various things eat the seeds and disperse them. I suspect there might be a few creatures that can eat the fruits without harm, but don’t know that for sure.
