I’m curious here Brian. I posted a response to this but it’s not appearing on my comments page. Did it come through. It just said ‘I thought so.’ WordPress has ‘improved’ the posts and comments pages and, of course made things much less user friendly and quite erratic. I’m still trying to find out how to work around the problems they’ve introduced. Are you having any issues?

This “new improved model” is crap. Going backwards about 6 years.
Your comments have always for some weird reason ended up in the trash folder, all of them.
Now it is a 9 click to do a reply. Out of trash 4 clicks, then the comment goes into pending, another 4 clicks to approve then 1 click to do a reply. This morning I had 10 comments in the trash folder from people I have interacted with for up to 9 years as well.
The post page is equally as stupid to navigate as is looking at media files.
Yes I do have issues but with WP for implementing stupid changes 😠

I rarely get comments going to trash so that hasn’t been an issue for me, but I can no longer like a comment on the dashboard page, only from the post itself, which is really annoying and involves extra steps, as you say. Also, on my posts page, the post title for All and Published is one letter wide so each post occupies an enormous amount of space. It’s not a problem on Drafts and Scheduled! And now I can’t get hold of a person to report these issues, only to the AI helper, which is no help. So frustrating.

When you are on the page look at the top right and the settings. Maybe there’s something there.
I want an email address or WP to do a post on how wonderful they are when they do changes to stuff I don’t care about.
I think they are after the web builders and professionals and are starting to care less about the “little person bloggers”

Thanks for that Brian. I did drop a couple of things on the posts page and that fixed that issue. No change in the likes issue though, ironically, when I reply I can like that, though it doesn’t actually do that! I guess WP aren’t making enough of us little people.

Glad to help out with something Graham.
The rest will have to wait.
I was thinking of a petition but then again, who would we send it to?
Hoping they have another webinar but unfortunately they happen around 2-4am for me
