One of our local beaches has a shelving system as you enter the walkway to the beach, upon which is lost shoes and toys and such that you can claim or borrow.
There’s lots to find there. When I was a kid, we had a vehicle called a Utilabrake. After a visit to the beach, we all put our shoes on the short hood or bonnet, while we changed out of swimwear. Of course, we drove off and when we got home and looked for footwear it was nowhere to be found! Beaches must be one of the best spots to find lost or abandoned items.
Funny but sad commentary on our times, Graham, people in a hurry, perhaps.

People always forget things at the beach.Rounding up the kids, carrying stuff to the car, it’s a messy business!

That sounds like a good idea.

You could start a second hand stall at the beach 😂

Very true. We often pick stuff up and leave it in the car park near the beach entrance
