I guess that is supplies for the island for quite a while

There’s generally two barges twice a week, and that’s every week. It keeps the island stocked up, but if there’s a strike in California that stops shipping, then the barges end up with nothing to carry and that’s a problem here. The goal for Hawaii is to become more self sufficient, particularly when it comes to food and essential supplies.
