A view of the Kau coastline, not far from the southern tip of the island, where the road snakes down from Naalehu toward Whittington Beach County Park, where the pilings jut into the ocean.

Love the framing on the left, the playful snaking of that railing. And then, of course, the beautiful water to the right…

Thanks. The railing was what I liked too. This is an older photo and I think I’d do it a bit differently these days. Perhaps I’ll stop next time I’m down that way.

Fun to notice how we evolve when taking pictures – and also writing texts

Indeed. But one thing I’ve learnt is not to be too hard on myself for old photos or pieces of writing. I’ve changed, so how I’d do something now is very likely to be different to how I did it 10 or 15 years ago.

Same here, blogging has helped me with that. When I first started blogging I’d edit photos to perfection. Now I don’t have time, but I’ve forgiven myself for posting less than perfect pictures and text: I do it all the time now. Otherwise I wouldn’t blog at all, because of my limited time! So for me the evolution has gone backwards I guess?! Hahah
