Barleria repens has a variety of names including Coral Creeper and Creeping Barleria. This gives some idea of the kind of plant, though it can also grow as a rounded shrub and a vine. What got my attention was the pale purple anthers standing out against the otherwise red flower.
Oh dear another South African plant though it is lovely. Here another common name is bush violet probably because it also has a variation with purple flowers. We have both colours in our garden ☺ I am wondering if it is invasive in Hawaii as in our garden it can start taking over somewhat?

It spreads easily, but I don’t think it’s considered invasive here. At least it’s not on the lists of problem plants that I’ve seen.

That a real crimson flower, right there. Interesting harmony of colour nature has used here

Yes, and there’s a purple flowered version as well.

I don’t think so, but I haven’t seen the purple version.
