      We used to have a cat that went out early and, when it wanted to come back in, would hurl itself against the door. There was a screen door on the outside and usually the cat ended up hanging about halfway up. When it first did this, I’d be looking down where I expected to see it and didn’t notice it at first. The neighbor across the street said this routine was one of the favorite parts of her day!

        That reminds me of what my (indoor) cat used to do when she saw the outdoor cat strolling by. I had to close the door because I didn’t thnk the screen door will survive šŸ™‚
