I caught up to this car driving back from Upolu Airport. Toward the top of this stretch of road, some tree roots have created some serious bumps and I was curious to see what was going to happen. As it happened she – dare I say, sadly – wasn’t catapulted into the air. Otherwise, that would definitely have been the top photo!
That would have been an aloha moment

It would have been a moment for sure. Not sure how aloha though!

Looks like fun, actually. Our winter is still going strong (snowed today, will snow all week…) and so it looks quite intangible to me. But your story reminds me of when I was a flight attendant and people would disobey the polite demand to buckle their seat bealts when entering turbulence… I always wondered when I would witness what we were told in training about passengers hitting the ceiling and getting hurt. I never did, but once I entered a plane where the previous crew had had a coffee pot fly to the ceiling, full of hot coffee. The ceiling still had the coffee stains to prove it.

It’s a good road to do it on, with very little traffic, and I was steering with my knees while taking this photo, so I can’t make too much out of it. I like your flight attendant story. I never understood why people don’t fasten their seat belts. You just know they’d be the first to sue if something happened.
