
Schools of Whitebar Surgeonfishes are fairly common where I snorkel most. They cruise around rocky areas, feeding on algae. Often they can be seen with other reef fish such as Convict Tangs or Whitespotted Surgeonfish, seen in the background of the lower photo.

I never thought fish were very interesting, but now that I snorkel regularly I find them fascinating.

I wish I could say the waters here are still clear but the last couple of years hazy water has been the norm. Not sure why that is, but I don’t see it improving any time soon.
