
Yellowfin Goatfishes often hang out in large schools close to shore, providing a splash of color against the rocks. I like seeing how the schools just seem to move as one. If I came back as a fish, I’d be bumping into other fish left, right, and center.

Well, the yellowfin bit is fairly obvious but the goatfish name in part comes from two sensory barbels extending from their chin. You can see them on the fish, top middle, in the second photo.

It is amazing how they know when and where to turn isn’t it. I though it would be a herd of Goatfish 🙂

I marvel at that ability with fish and birds and probably other things too. A herd of goatfish would be good!
