I was having a wander around a ball field in Waimea when I saw this scene in one of the dugouts. The shoes were so neatly placed, but still forgotten.

Children’s shoes? I imagine a scenario with a fussing preschooler complaining about hot shoes and a parent struggling to carry everything AND change the baby’s diaper… the bigger kid was told to bring the shoes but he didn’t listen and mum/dad was distracted…..

I’m sensing a vibe of ‘been there, done that,’ and you’re probably right!

The balance of the white of the shoes and the sink is fabulous. Great still life

Yes, they’re in pretty good shape. When I was a kid, my family had been to the beach and, when we were packing up to leave, left our shoes on the hood of the car. Never saw them again!
