A few days ago, we had another unstable weather system pass over this part of the island, dumping rain, flashing lightening, and rattling the house with one roll of thunder after another. I snuck outside in my ongoing attempts to capture heavy rainfall without ending up drenched in the process. As usual the results were mixed on both counts!

We’re having unseasonal rain, too. I think you’ve done a good job of capturing it. I never seem to, but I don’t have a very good camera.

My camera isn’t really good for this kind of thing either, but I’m going to try some different settings next time we have a downpour and see how that goes.

I look forward to hearing what you try and seeing the results

Yesterday I had huge downpours, water flowing over the gutters and it was loud on the tin roof

I think your downpours would dwarf these, but it was dramatic for here. The thunder was making the house shake on a regular basis, which is unusual for here.

When the thunder is close here, the house shakes. Not often but at least once a year

I usually take them through the window 🪟 🤣

I can’t do that because the windows are dirty!
