The North Kohala coast is quite rugged and exposed to strong trade winds and weather systems. This was a relatively calm day, but still capable of churning up white water along the shore.

Looks similar to our Vancouver Island coast line. Is it the same type of black rock Graham?

Well, they’re both volcanic in origin so I guess so. Vancouver Island is a good deal older though I think.
