Kohala by the Sea is an upscale gated community on the northern edge of Kawaihae. What appeals to me in this image is the curvy roads terminating in little asphalt blobs. It gives it an organic feel, which I suppose it is in a way.

It’s definitely upmarket. Not somewhere I’d want to live, even if I could afford it. I’m a considerably more rustic kind of person!

It does look like a nice place to live as long as you aren’t on the highway side. Sure getting milage out of that plane ride or is this another flight?

It was a helicopter flight and, as usual, I took a boatload of photos.

Not a pilot, but a passenger. I work for a helicopter tour company and sometimes, when we move aircraft around, I get to go along. That’s what this was.
