There are a fair number of sailors who have been amazed too, and made the mistake of going between a tug and barge!

  Oh no that is a disaster. I was watch the rescue of a sail boat with a police launch on the pull. Just watching the tow rope go up and down, slack and tight was amazing. There was one bloke at the rope ready to cut it if things went pear shaped.

    I had a 12′ daysailer and once gave a tow to a jet ski that broke down. The guy was mortified!
