Seriously cool dragon fly picture!! Love the turtles as well. Like someone above I loved my trips to Hawaii but don’t know if we will be back because of cost

Thanks Bernie. It’s not cheap here, to visit or to live!

I wonder if that affects retirement age?

Well the official retirement age is the same, but that doesn’t mean a person can afford to retire! That’s not exclusive to Hawaii though. There are a lot of places where people will be working well past ‘retirement’ age.

I often feel so fortunate to live where I have access to free health care, a government pension plan, and old age security. Which added to my work pension mean i have a good standard of living.

Good for you. That kind of framework is so important as one gets older.

Don’t know if I’ll ever make it back to Hawaii, but you make me homesick for it. I visited three times in 1968, 1971 and again in 1974 or 5… what a special place. Thanks for sharing it through your wonderful photos.

Glad you liked them Judy. I think you’d find Hawaii has changed quite a bit from those days! Still a great place to live though.
