The mango tree is dropping fruit, which means that the numerous wild pigs around here are stopping by on a regular basis to scarf them up. This is one of them, or is it? A tag in the ear usually indicates a domesticated animal, but this one was roaming with the other wild pigs. An escapee perhaps? Part of a scientific study?
But them I looked at the tag again, 004. Surely, this means the pig is a British secret agent, probably sent to check up on me and make sure Iβm drinking enough tea and not bad-mouthing the king. Hopefully, heβs not yet licensed to kill, just to eat mangoes.

tasty!

They are quite entertaining, but overwhelming in their numbers currently, alas.

Itβs an excellent disguise. And pretending to be interested in mangoes!

No pretense there. It’s very interested in mangoes.

I always enjoy the pigs and mangos Graham. The tag did make me wonder as well.

I reckon a farm escapee

Possibly, or some study going on. They have done them before so might be doing them again.

It’s good they study the pigs movements. You’ll have to see if there’s a program where you can report a sighting

I know there was a program some years ago, but don’t know if anything is going on in that line currently.I should email someone I know who works for DNLR and who monitors those kinds of things.

Oops, he appears to have dropped one, Graham! And I’m sure you wouldn’t badmouth HRH xx

They slobber and slurp them and when they’re done, spit them out! The pigs that is, not HRH!
