Walking down to the water at Lapakahi recently, my wife and I found the trail blocked by this fallen tree. Luckily, we were able to work our way around it and carry on to our swim. After the swim, I saw the park maintenance man cutting the tree up and the next day the trail was wide open again. It’s been windy lately so I think that’s what took it down.

Ooh it does look nice and warm. I’m always quite envious in winter when I see your posts.

Well, it is summer here so it’s very warm. Winter is cooler, but still warm, which is one thing I like about this place.

If it wasn’t for the volcanic activity and the leader, I’d think about moving there.

The volcanic activity is way less of a problem than the leader!

The light was good both mornings, but I realized I was using my underwater camera and the settings boost the warmer colors!
