This week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme is ‘Backyard Birding.’ See more responses here. Also posted in response to Becky’s October Squares challenge theme of ‘Kind.’ See more responses here.
Almost all the birds I see in the backyard are fairly common, but no less interesting for that.
A great gallery – you have spectacular garden visitors.

There aren’t many unusual birds come visit, but they’re all kind of fun and interesting.

Absolutely – unusual does not equate to more interesting or more beautiful!

Yes, it’s important not to forget that.

I remember seeing the Saffron finches all over Hilo! They were fun to photograph, Graham! You have a beautiful selection of birds to share! I hope that poor baby chick made it, he sure looks angry!

Best not to talk about the baby chick, if you get my drift.

I hope they weren’t listening when you called them common. They look uncommonly beautiful to me 🙂 🙂

There are a lot of them around, so common in that sense.

all kinds indeed, maybe common for you but rather wonderful for me 🙂

I didn’t mean ‘common’ in a derogatory sense. Perhaps ‘widespread’ is the better word.

oh no i thought you meant widespread. Bit like my garden birds, regular sight for me here but probably unusual or you!

I do like seeing the different birds in the yard. I’m a bit less enthusiastic at 5 in the morning, but that goes with the territory.
