

This is the time of year, around here, when Plumerias bloom again. They’re one of those trees where the flowers appear before the leaves.
In the top photo, an array of flowers can be seen against the shadow of the tree’s bare branches.
The middle photo shows a mix of buds and blooms.
Below, a closer look at the gorgeous flowers in varying states of unfurling.

Your photos manage to evoke that heady scent, They grow here too, especially at the coast.

Made me have a quick look. Five that I can see plus some more in pots. Not all white/yellow. Have a lovely pink and a red one in a pot to plant out later after the heat passes.

I bet that’s the response of a lot of people, even though the flowers grow in a lot of different places. I think leis have something to do with that.

Yes, they have a very nice scent. They’re used a lot in leis here in Hawaii.
