Back in August of 2020 I posted some photos of a walk I did along ʻAnaehoʻomalu Bay beach (here). The top photo in this post was taken at that time. As you might remember, this was during the time the island, and all of Hawaii, was more or less shut down to visitors. Consequently, this popular beach was almost deserted.
Last week, I thought I’d revisit the scene and took a late afternoon walk along that stretch of coast. The bottom photo shows a scene from the same end of the beach as the top photo. It was actually less busy than I expected, but still considerably more than my previous visit.

It is so different with people added, but still very beautiful.

It is a lovely beach and really it wasn’t too bad with the people. Mind you, I have some photos I’ll post soon that made me wonder a bit!

Now that has made me curious. But to be fair its nice to see people out enjoying themselves after all the months of lockdown and relative isolation.

Yes, it’s not my choice of vacation, but I have no issue with people having a good time and I knew this walk would pass areas such as this. I was taken by how I could isolate the visually tranquil image from it’s more raucous surrounds!

It is that. I’ll be posting more photos from that walk in the next week or two.

Beautiful stretch of the coast Graham. I would love to walk there.

I like it a lot, but it does pass through several resorts so the view to one side is very different to the view to the other. I’ll be posting more photos in the coming week or two.

Thanks, Brian. I have quite a lot of photos from that walk that I’ll be posting. It’s an interesting stretch of coast, full of highs and lows.
