Mangoes in the rain

Mangoes wet with raindrops

After a recent downpour, the mangoes on the tree in the front yard were left wet and glistening and dripping with raindrops.

I can’t think of anything lovelier than a mango tree heavy with fruit. I don’t recognise this particular mango; it’s seems rounder than what I’m used to. Is it good ?

It’s called a common mango around here. It’s not bad, but has a large pit so there’s not a huge amount of fruit. However, it’s a sight to see when the pigs latch on to a ripe one and slurp it down with juice squirting out of the sides of their mouths! They certainly love them.
