Pololu Beach is a popular spot for visitors and locals. The trail down to the beach can be bustling with people and the beach itself is often well-populated. But behind the beach, this trail through the trees always seems quiet. It leads to a gully that, in turn, guides the few who venture up there, to a bench overlooking Honokane Nui Valley. (Read about that here.)

It looks wonderful. I like the glimpse of cliff? Through the trees.

That’s right. The cliffs are very steep here. At low tide, people sometimes try to walk along the cost below the cliffs, but that’s a very dangerous game!

What a great trail! I was going to be incredibly jealous until you mentioned the mud. Now I’m just kindda jelous!

Yes, the mud can be slick and messy, but on a dry day the walk is great.

Do people walk along the rock lined track or just walk anywhere? It is a great looking place 🙂

The track is easier going though I’m sure some people wander about a bit, especially if they cut through to the beach on the left.

It looks beautiful, Graham. I wouldn’t mind a sit on the bench.

It’s a lovely walk, though the gully beyond it can get pretty muddy when it rain, which it does there, rather a lot!
