A few days ago, I posted here an image from a recent walk along the coast to Hapuna beach. I thought I’d post more photos from that walk for this week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme of ‘Paths and Trails’ (more responses here), and for Becky’s Squares theme of “Walking” (more responses here).

The trail crosses beaches large and small.

Of course, besides the views I was on the alert for anything moving on the beach or in the air.

Other parts pass through trees and other vegetation.

oh this is a great trail, much better than sitting on the beach under an umbrella. Thank you so much for taking us, and for the blue skies. Not seen blue for a few days now here

Yes, I’m not much of a beach sitter. Glad I could share a little blue sky with you.

What a stunning walk, Graham, beautifully captured. Very enticing. I liked the elongated eyes of the crab, too.

Thanks, Karen. I love those crabs. I sometimes get strange looks from beachgoers no doubt wondering why I’m taking photos of patches of sand! Little do they know.

And there was an onshore breeze most of the time which is always nice.

How wonderful to walk along these trails and see so much, Graham–sure keeps it interesting! I enjoyed my walks near Hilo Bay when I was there…hard to keep up a good pace when there are so many photo ops! Mauna Kea Resort looks great! Just checked it on google maps–not too far from you!

I’m a slow mover with the photo taking, though I had to keep my pace up on the way back as Spencer Park closes at 6pm!
