Beautiful shot. I see you think they’ll be independent soon. We had a magpie chick being fed every day ( from the dog’s bowl) and making a huge racket. It went for about three months so despite the size, it was fed for a while.

These two seemed pretty mellow. Barely a peep out of them and they just accepted the food. Today, I was watching some Saffron Finches and the two youngsters, both quite big, were badgering the parents without pause. They won’t be independent for a while!

What a fabulous shot! The youngsters are fully coloured too.

They were quite large and getting around well so I think they’ll transition to independent birds soon.
