This Large Orange Sulphur Butterfly blends in rather well amongst these Plumeria flowers. I didn’t see it feeding here, but that likely was its intention.

The butterfly is so well camouflaged!

It does blend in.

Such clarity in this photograph. And how the butterfly melds in with the fleet.

Gosh – I meant melds in with the flower….. I really need to learn to proof check my comments when I use the smartphone to reply to comments. Apologies.

I knew what you meant. I think, these days everyone develops a sense of what is intended even if that’s not what’s written. The days of copy editors are long gone!

Unfortunately yes, you are right. Remember that meme that went around with lots of misspelt words, yet you could still read what the message said because we don’t read every single letter in each word. Our minds decode it by capturing and guessing the whole word. I hope it’s a bit like that when I mistype words or the phone auto corrects.

Yes, I do remember that.

We just call plumeria frangipani. I thought it looked familiar.

Frangipani is the British word. Not sure how the two names came about.

Well we were settled by the British first, so that would explain that.

Ooops. I meant the same in South Africa! My typing worked faster than my brain, which is a truly distressing situation!

That’s another possibility, though I think this one moved on fairly soon after.
