How amazing the fly on the mantis’s eye! I wonder if the fly escaped being eaten!

I like to think so, but a lot of flies were getting eaten.

The mantis didn’t look pleased that I got a photo of that, but he, and a couple of his friends, were happy feasting on the plethora of flies in the hedge.

I love your capture of the fly on the preying mantis! I am fascinated by them..the mantis, not the fly!!

Flies are pretty interesting too! There were a lot of flies around getting snapped up so being on the head of the mantis was probably the safest place to be.

There were three mantises in the hedge where all the flies were and they were all catching a lot of flies.
