              It’s kind of cool. I tell people thinking of moving here to consult the rainfall maps because a mile or two difference east or west, or up and down the mountain, can mean 10 to 20 inches rainfall a year difference!

    Beautiful. I’m late to commenting…lol…seems to be my habit lately! I’m sure it takes an adjustment to not see fall colors. I remember visiting a botanical garden on Oahu in February thinking I’d see all sorts of things, forgetting that it was technically “winter” and not much in the garden was in bloom…haha

    There’s something very alive about green. We’ve come home after being away for over a month at the end of spring and it’s like the day of the triffids outside. Helped, I must add, but unusually large rainfalls, but it’s such a preferred sight to dead grass and struggling foliage.
