
I think this house was occupied when I first moved to Hawaii, but it’s been empty for years now. Last week, I noticed the plants on the lanai. They’re not growing in pots on the lanai, they’re growing up through the lanai. My guess is that eventually this structure will be demolished and something new built in its place.

It has ‘character’, Graham. Shame to see it in this state xx

Not sure what happened, but lots of properties around here got foreclosed so that’s a possibility. The biggest drawback of this place is it’s by the main road, so probably a bit noisy.

It is sad and a waste too. My guess is that it was always a bit rustic, but still a perfectly livable space.
