Here’s a green anole (Anolis carolinensis) perched on a green ti leaf so that I could take its photo (possibly). Light greens in the sun, dark greens in the shadow. With all this, I can forgive the anole its powder blue eye-shadow.
The anole looks like a character from a movie. I bet you wouldn’t be surprised if it addressed you in perfect English. Mind you, being that expressive it probably doesn’t need to 🙂

I agree with that. Anoles often seem to give a look that tells me exactly what they’re thinking.

Anoles tend to have a look which varies from suspicion to outright annoyance. I try not to bother them too much.
