This week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme is ‘In The Garden.’ See more responses here.
Since I don’t have a garden currently, I’ve gone for some images from my most recent visit to Hawai’i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden, north of Hilo.

Those are beautiful. I’m not sure I could pick a favorite. We were just talking the other day about visiting Hawaii…and while I’m sure many visit for the beaches I’d love to visit for all the other nature explorations. I’m not one that enjoys just sitting on a beach for hours and hours everyday.

Thanks Kirstin. One thing I love about the Big Island is the variety of landscapes and wildlife. I love to go snorkeling but, like you, I’m not one for sitting on the beach. I’m the crazy person hiking along the coast packing water bottles and camera gear!

So lovely to see these images. I had a 48 hour visit to the Big Island in 2006 and loved its beauty that was different to anything I had ever seen in Australia. Denyse #SundayStills

I’m glad you liked them. The Big Island certainly is a bit different to most places.

Great flower photos. The green of the Gecko on the Torch Ginger is a stand out 🙂

Thanks Brian. I have quite a few photos like that of the gecko. It catches my eye every time.

Gorgeous photo gallery, Graham. Tropical flowers have amazing colours. I like all of your garden photos, especially the torch ginger with the gecko. Thank you for linking up with #SundayStills.

Thanks Natalie, and thanks for filling in for Terri. Those geckos look great on red flowers and other red backgrounds so I photograph them often.
