The current Friendly Friday challenge theme is ‘Close ups and Macros.’ See more responses here. Here’s a selection of some little creatures up close and personal.
A bee on a clover flower. A wandering glider dragonfly rests on a stalk. A female Hawaiian garden spider on her web. A grasshopper (Schistocerca nitens) sunning itself. Run for your life, it’s a giant African land snail! Guess who’s coming to dinner?
This is an amazing macro gallery Graham 🙂

Insects look so much like monsters from a sci fi movie in close up. Isn’t nature incredible to produce such complicated and efficient life forms? I am so glad you joined in with Friendly friday, Graham. It is always a pleasure to visit your blog and view your photographs.

Me too. This morning I had a close encounter with a wee grasshopper on a path and it gave me quite the look before hopping away.
