This week’s Sunday Stills challenge theme is ‘Light the Night.’ See more responses here.
A lot of people, myself included, don’t bother with lights here, but there are always some displays. Here’s one I quite like.

You chose a nice scene to show us lighting up the night with holiday Cheer

It seems people go to such a lot of trouble, which is nice. Putting Christmas lights outside one’s home has never really caught on here. Just as well given the ongoing constraints on the national electricity grid!

Where I used to live, in Washington State, the nights were long and lights in that darkness were quite cheering. Here, it’s not as big a deal though quite a few people do make the effort.

I always wanted fairylit reindeer outside ours but my husband always used the, well how will we plug them in excuse, so it never happened. So I just gaze with longing at others’.

The advantage of admiring others is that you don’t have to put them up and you don’t have to take them down!

We have just a few outdoor lights in the trees you will see…believe me, there would be more but we need an electrical outlet on the front side of the house. Thanks for sharing lights from your area! Enjoy a happy holiday and great start to 2022!

Happy holidays to you too Terri. The electrical outlet sounds like a project for Hans, or is it too cold just now?
