Very cool photo. When we flew to Europe in 2019 I looked out the window at one point and saw a bunch of these, but then was so confused because I knew we were over water, but apparently there they were. I remember looking it up (thank you google) but can’t remember what it said. I’ll have to look again.

No offshore wind farms here; the water gets too deep very quickly. I think they’re quite common in Europe, which has many relatively shallow waters offshore.

This sure does fit the bill, Graham! I could literally superimpose this image onto the same scenes we saw at the Sacramento River Delta. I always love how gray makes everything else pop!
