Recently, these two yachts were anchored off Mauna Kea Resort. I couldn’t make out the name of the blue boat but the other one is the Anawa, a Dutch built superyacht owned by a Brazilian billionaire. I confess my first thought on seeing this yacht was that it might be the ugliest boat I’d ever seen. Perhaps it was the angle. Perhaps not.

A helicopter, though, hmm. I remember seeing the port in Monaco, with yacht after yacht parked side by side and they all had jacuzzis. In my mind, ever since, that’s the definition of a good yacht. Must have outdoors jacuzzi. Not that it matters, since I’ll never get to board one myself 😁

Not sure I’d want to fly in that helicopter. Salt spray from the ocean would wreak havoc with it!

It’s not what comes to mind when I see ‘yacht’ in the title. However, having known people who lived on their yacht, this is much bigger and appealing.

I’m not really a big boat person. I much prefer smaller boats, especially sailboats.
