I love the cats! Great photos for this challenge!

Thanks Aletta. I’ve realized that many of my photos are archived on a different place so I’m keen to see what options I have for the next one!

What a great selection. I love this challenge for all the golden oldies it brings up. I can’t pick a favourite, though.

Funny you should mention that. I was wondering why I wasn’t finding that many results to my search. Then I remembered that I took most of my archives off my computer and put them on a separate drive. Next week, I expect to find more!

Did the Moray have a go at the little fish or is that it’s normal face

That’s its normal face. Undulated eels have a reputation for being nasty, but I’ve never had any bother with them.

I love that the cats don’t seem to even be aware of the bird and vice versa. All just thinking about the bowl of catfood, I guess…the cats having just finished eating and the bird intent on polishing off what they haven’t.

The cats rarely bother the birds and, depending who’s putting out the food, there’s usually enough for everyone.

The struggle was between the Jays and the squirrels at my house in CA. My husband finally invented a feeder that dumped the squirrels into the rosemary down below but allowed the birds to feed. He attached long bamboo poles to the porch railings and nailed upside dow frizbees to the end. We put birdseed in them which supported the weight of birds but not squirrels.

Very ingenious. I remember trying to outwit squirrels when I lived in Washington State.

Who would guess it would take a genius to outwit a squirrel? ;o)

It probably does. I never succeeded!

Lovely Koi photo, Graham. Those cats look quite indifferent but perhaps the bird is pushing his luck.

Thanks Jo. The cats are quite indifferent. I’ve seen one of the cats eating from one side of that bowl in the photo and a francolin eating at the other side. Once, I saw a cat bat the francolin on the head and it jumped away only to be replaced by the next in line. The sequence was repeated three or four times. It was very funny..
