Great photo and the line of clouds cooperated

Yes they did. We had several days where the weather was such that the views of Maui were excellent. It looks like I could swim there, but the channel is more than 25 miles wide and the currents strong.

That would be a good swim. Has anyone ever tried to do the swim across?

Yes they have. It’s one of those swims that requires an accompanying boat, just in case. There are also sharks, jellyfish, etc. to contend with!

A boat to assist would be handy

It’s an idyllic view, Graham. A friend is heading to the big island for Christmas. Any recommendations? I think she’ll be in the north.

Well, I live near the northern tip of the island and it’s all lovely. It depends on what she’s interested in. If she has questions, she’s welcome to email me here at the blog. My contact info is on the About page.

Thanks, Graham. I can just send her your blog link and she can take her pick. I’ll tell her to look out for a couple snorkeling early in the morning. 😉

It’s dry and rocky, but next to the ocean and usually sunny. I’m a regular down there.
