The Numbers Game #74

A monument commemorating Ikua Purdy, a Hawaiian paniolo
This statue in Waimea celebrates the role of paniolos in the region. (Original post here.)

The idea of The Numbers Game is to enter a number into the search bar of your computer and then post a selection of the photos that turn up. This week’s number is 195. Captions are on the photos. You can see more responses here.

Shame on you, Graham…you can’t imagine how long I looked at that stick, trying to believe that there was a crab hidden away in it. And the cowboy statue would have been the last thing I expected to find in Hawaii. Surprise after surprise.

It’s the joy of your challenge Judy! the ‘crab’ photo popped up and I couldn’t resist posting it again. As for the cowboys, raising beef is a big industry here and has its origin in a gift of 6 cows and a bull from Captain George Vancouver to King Kamehameha I back in 1793.

Ah Jo, you should have checked the link. You’ve seen the crab before. It was posted four years ago, on April 1!
