The Numbers Game #76

A juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron watches from a Kiawe tree.

The idea of The Numbers Game is to enter a number into the search bar of your computer and then post a selection of the photos that turn up. This week’s number is 197. Captions are on the photos. You can see more responses here.

One thing I like about your photography is that there is always an added special feature: the worm in the beak of the bird, the burl in the wood above the turtle that makes it look like it is chasing a frog, the angle and cropping of your shots. You are a wonderful photographer.

Thanks for your kind words Judy. I look for those extra details, but capturing them is very hit and miss I find. I figure if I take enough photos, some will turn out right!

Stunning photos today. Are you geckos as noisy as the ones in Bali were? I loved them, though. Scary thing was when they all stopped their voices at once.. and you knew there was something on the prowl.
