Yes, it’s a mantis and one of the few times I’ve ever seen the wings.

And also the color is different from any I’ve seen. This is the best photo of a mantis that I’ve ever seen, Graham. Applause. I love love viewing insects and this photo deserves a prize.

I have only seen green ones, except for a photo I took of afemale mantis climbing the wall of my studio with her mate on her back..and he was beige.
