They are a hunters delight for their horns.
The ones you had there have been killed it seems.
“I like to hunt big horn sheep so I’ll bring some to Hawaii. What harm could it do?”

That attitude is still around. A few years ago someone helicoptered in some deer so they could hunt them despite the clear and certain knowledge that it would be catastrophic for a deer population to get established here.

It is a big horn sheep. We saw them in the mountains of Colorado.

Thank you for that. I can’t say I’ve seen anything like that, though I think there are some bighorn sheep, or crosses of them, here.
